The change I see in modern day farming and farming in ancient civilization is, Now we have machines to help us farm but back then they didn't so people would have to pick up each crop 1 by 1 by 1. That would take hours on hours to get enough to feed a small village. It wasn't until 1892 that John Froelich invented the tractor.
