The act of strengthening the muscles of the abdominals and
Elina [12.6K]

The act of strengthening the muscles of the abdomen and torso is core strengthening.

Explanation:

The core is the central part of the body comprised of about 35 (major and minor) muscle groups which connect to the pelvis, spine and hip area. These can be broadly grouped as the abdominals, back extensors, hip, and lateral trunk muscle groups.

The core area is the centre of gravity and stability for all bodily movements.

Strength of core muscles is very important especially to athletes and sports persons. Weakness of core muscles leads to general body weakness and fatigue, muscle injuries like sprains, less endurance and power, back pain, and poor posture.

Core strengthening exercises are done to train the core muscles and strengthen them and work in harmony for better body balance, stability, and movement. Core strengthening exercises include crunches, plank, L-sit, sit-ups, push-ups etc

The water-soluble vitamins demonstrated to be toxic in large doses are:
nignag [31]
Vitamins are classified as either fat soluble (vitamins A, D, E and K) or water soluble (vitamins B and C). This difference between the two groups is very important. It determines how each vitamin acts within the body. Fat soluble vitamins, once they have been stored in tissues in the body, tend to remain there. This means that if a person takes in too much of a fat soluble vitamin, over time they can have too much of that vitamin present in their body, a potentially dangerous condition called hypervitaminosis (literally, too much vitamin in the body). Water-soluble vitamins, including vitamins C and B, are excreted much more quickly than fat-soluble vitamins, and they need to be replaced more frequently.
