If the release of thyroid hormone (TH) was regulated by a long-loop negative feedback, where would you find the cells that are i
pav-90 [236]

Answer:

Hypothalamus and anterior pituitary gland.

Explanation:

Lower levels of T3 and T4 in the blood or lower metabolic rate serve as signal and stimulate the release of thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) from the hypothalamus. The TRH stimulates the anterior pituitary gland to release thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) which in turn makes the thyroid gland to release the thyroid hormones.

The elevated levels of thyroid hormones inhibit the release of TRH from the hypothalamus and that of TSH from the anterior pituitary gland.

Hence, the cells of hypothalamus and anterior pituitary gland would be inhibited by the binding of thyroid hormone to regulate the release of these hormones by a negative feedback mechanism.

when DNA mutations occur they can have a variety of effects on an organism if the DNA is TAC CGA ACC TTA create a mRNA strand wi
lara31 [8.8K]

Answer: AUG GU UGG AAU

Explanation: Since it's a point mutation which only effects single nucleotide; so in CGA codon, the second codon, deletion mutation has been occured while mRna strand is going to be synthesized, this has shortened the length of the resulting protein developed from these codons.

Since RNA contains uracil instead of thymine, so in place of thymine (T), uracil has been placed.

The head of a giraffe is 2.0 m above its heart and the density of the blood is 1.05 103 kg/m3. what is the difference in pressur
erastovalidia [21]
The giraffe head is higher than its heart so the blood pressure in the head must be lower than in the heart. The pressure is directly related to the density, gravity, and the height. The calculation would be:

P = ρ*g*h
P= 1.05* 10^3 kg/m3 * 9.8m/s2 * 2m= 20 580 pascals= 20.58 kpa
