PLEASE HELP, REWARD OF 100 POINTS! thanks :3
meriva

Answer:

The total saving of Alex (a) and Benjamin (b) was 2000$.

=> a + b = 2000 (1)

Alex donates 1/4 of saving, Benjamin donates 1/5 of saving.

Total donation: 440$

=> (1/4)a + (1/5)b = 440 (2)

From (1) and  (2):

=>(1/4)(2000 - b) +(1/5)b = 440

=> 500 - (1/4)b + (1/5)b = 440

=> (1/20)b = 60

=> b = 20 x 60 = 1200$ (current balance of Benjamin)

=> a = 2000 - b = 800$ (current balance of Alex)

Hope this helps!

Solve t+m=r for r <br> pls help.
AlexFokin [52]

Hi!

<h3>So, we need to figure out what r equals. </h3>

r doesn't have to be a number. r has to equal a value. A value can be variables, or numbers, it doesn't matter.

<h3>The equation says r = t + m. Read the equation out loud. </h3>

<u>r equals t plus m. </u>

<h3>There's the value of r! </h3><h2>The answer is the problem: r = t + m</h2>

Hope this helps! :)
