Which of the following is a criticism of globalization? A. Lower cost manufacturing B. Diminished sovereignty of governments C.
VARVARA [1.3K]

Answer:

The correct answer to the question: Which of the following is a criticism of globalization? would be, B: Diminished sovereignity of governments.

Explanation:

In general terms, globalizarion has had good, but also really bad, effects. On the good side of it, globalization has made the world a much smaller place, with much more in common between its inhabitants than there ever was. As such, and thanks to technological advancement and the erasing of certain boundaries which prevented people from different regions from interacting actively, people today from one end of the earth can interact, befriend, and get to know people from the other end. Cultures have also become mixed with one another, erasing certain limitations and boundaries that did not permit interrelationships before. However, globalization has also had its downsides. One of them, unquestionably, has been the loss of sovereignity and even national identity. Due to an exaggerated number of treaties and agrements, all in the name of globalization, and being part of the global village, countries have become tied to the global opinion, and the global interference, especially of those countries who are the most powerful and dominant in the group.

What did Peter the Great do to strengthen his authority?
GarryVolchara [31]

The correct answer is - abolished the boyars.

Peter the Great was not very fond of the situation in which the previous rulers were, where they were heavily dependent on the boyars and also did not had full control of the situation because of them. In order to gain full control and authority in the country Peter the Great decided to abolish the boyars. Instead of the traditional boyar aristocracy, Peter the Great made the state service as the exclusive means of attaining a high position in the bureaucratic system.

The reason why Peter the Great thought that the boyers should be abolished in order for him to strengthen his authority was their influence and power, and he was not wrong. The boyars were the ones that were deciding and controlling the majority of the things in the country. They had very big local influence and power, having their own boyar council as well where they were deciding the politics and economics of the country. Peter the Great did not wanted to be in such a position where other people will decide what should happen in the country and in which manner, as he wanted to be the one that has the only and last say in the matters, so he made his move.
