Conferences that bring together the main winning powers of World War II, at the end of the conflict, to redraw the world political map and the areas of influence of each one.

The first is held from February 4 to 11, 1945, in Yalta, in the Crimean region (Ukraine), with the participation of Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Franklin Roosevelt, President of the United States (USA), and Josef Stálin, ruler of the then Soviet Union (USSR).

The second, between July 17 and August 2, 1945, takes place in Potsdam, just outside Berlin, Germany, bringing together Stalin, Clement Attlee, from the United Kingdom, and the new American president, Harry Truman.

In Yalta, issues such as the treatment to be given to Germany after the war, including its division into occupation zones and the elimination of its war industry, and the persecution of war criminals are addressed. It is also decided to create the Polish state and the foundations for the creation of the United Nations are laid.

The USSR agrees to fight Japan after Germany's final defeat, receiving areas of occupation in Eastern Europe and Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in return.

1. How does supporting the human with defenders align with the philosophies of america's founding fathers?
hoa [83]

To be a human rights defender, a person can act to address any human right (or rights) on behalf of individuals or groups. Human rights defenders seek the promotion and protection of civil and political rights as well as the promotion, protection and realization of economic, social and cultural rights.

Human rights defenders address any human rights concerns, which can be as varied as, for example, summary executions, torture, arbitrary arrest and detention, female genital mutilation, discrimination, employment issues, forced evictions, access to health care, and toxic waste and its impact on the environment. Defenders are active in support of human rights as diverse as the rights to life, to food and water, to the highest attainable standard of health, to adequate housing, to a name and a nationality, to education, to freedom of movement and to non-discrimination. They sometimes address the rights of categories of persons, for example women’s rights, children’s rights, the rights of indigenous persons, the rights of refugees and internally displaced persons, and the rights of national, linguistic or sexual minorities.

Tennyson's characterization is a bit different from the Homeric vision. Traditional texts present Ulysses as character which seeks freedom. A character whose final destination is his home in Ithaca.

Once Kublai Khan took control of China, many of the region's highly educated former government officials were out of work. What
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

They turned to the arts as a means of creative expression

Explanation:

Before Kublai Khan took over China, it had an open social hierarchy system wherein the citizens could take up civil examinations in order to move forward. Kublai Khan turned this open system into a closed one and demoted the elite literary group.

He made sure that the elite were only those who had inherited it by birth. While this happened, the artisans and craftsmen were given increasing importance and therefore everyone turned towards art as a form of expression as a means of saving their lives. The- literati were made to write to entertain their elite masters.
