Convert everything to whatever/24

4/24 + 6/24 + 8/24 = 18/24

simplify that to 3/4

so the answer is 1/4 because you do 1 - 3/4

(1 represents her total weekly allowance, 3/4 is the amount she used, so 1/4 is the amount she has left.)

3/4....the least common denominator is 14 so u multiply the numerators and add the 3 together (4,6,8) up and get 18/24 which simplifies to 3/4

A + (-25)=75 <br> Solve the equation
gogolik [260]
You can rewrite this as A - 25 = 75. You always can cancel adding a negative into just subtracting, and although it may not seem important yet, it’s a good habit to get into for further algebra.
A = 100.

R + 3 1/2 = -4 2/3
alexandr402 [8]

Answer:

R = -8 1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

We'll solve the given equation for R.

Subtract 3 1/2 from both sides of the equation, to isolate R:

           R +  3 1/2  -  3 1/2 = -4 2/3  - 3 1/2, or

            R = -4 2/3 - 3 1/2

The LCD here is 6, which is the product of 3 and 2.  Converting the fractions to denominator 6, we get:

              R = -4 4/6 - 3 3/6, or

               R = -7 - 7/6, or R = -7 - 1 1/6, or -8 1/6
