The __________ was the protest that helped to spark the creation of the sclc.
expeople1 [14]
The answer is the Montgomery Bus Boycott. This boycott was brought about by the actions of Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat to a white passenger on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. This caused outrage from the African-American community and they took action by refusing to ride the public bus.

This movement spread throughout the Southern states and was organized by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). This organization, lead by Martin Luther King Jr., helped to fight for civil rights all over the southern part of the US.

Who were the United farm workers? How did they fight for their cause?
maxonik [38]

Answer:

In the early 1960s, in the small town of Delano, California, farmworkers had had enough. They called several strikes to demand higher pay and better working conditions from local grape growers. Their ideas caught on. In 1966, Filipino members of the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee joined forces with Latino members of the National Farm Workers Association to form the United Farm Workers (UFW). Together they pushed for contracts with powerful California growers—a nearly impossible feat—by staging a nationwide grape boycott.
