Answer:

B. Nearly every amino acid translated after the error will create the wrong protein after the deletion of a base.

Explanation:

Generally, mutations occur in two ways: 1) a base replacement, where one base is replaced for another; 2) insertion or deletion, where a base is either incorrectly inserted or deleted from a codon.

When a nucleotide is wrongly inserted or deleted from a codon, the effects of this change can be extreme. An insertion or deletion can affect every codon in a particular genetic sequence.  For example, given the code:

GAU GAC UCC GCU AGG. It is the codes for the amino acids aspartate, aspartate, serine, alanine, and arginine. If the A in the GAU were to be deleted, the code would become GUG ACU CCG UAG G. It won't produce any right amino acid.

So, if the code becomes changes, it won't produce any amino acid or will produce the wrong amnio acid.

Pseudo vacuoles are not true organelles since they are just air bubbles which do not possess tonoplast and cell sap like real vacuoles. But they do help by increasing buoyancy of cells.

Which of the following relationships is an example of a mutualism
puteri [66]
Mutualism- in which two different organisms interact, and each organism benefits each other (think "positive, positive"; or " +,+ "). An example would be Oxpeckers and zebras or rhinos - In this relationship, the oxpecker (a bird) lives on the zebra or rhino, sustaining itself by eating all of the bugs and parasites on the animal. The bird benefits by having a readily available source of food. The zebra or rhino benefits from having the bugs removed. Also, when there is a danger to the zebra or the rhino, the oxpecker flies high and makes much noise in order to alert nearby animals to the impending danger (i.e. a predator). Which of the following is not a function of<br> Proteins
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

anything contrary to the information provided below

Explanation:

Proteins determine the shape and structure of cells and the direction of almost all vital processes. Protein functions are specific to each of them and allow cells to maintain their integrity, defense of external agents, damage repair, control and regular functions, etc. selective binding to molecules. Structural proteins agree with other molecules of the same protein to cause a larger structure. However, other proteins bind to different molecules: antibodies to specific antigens, hemoglobin to oxygen, enzymes to their substrates, regulators of genetic expression to DNA, hormones to their specific receptors, etc.

Growth and repair involve primarily what type of reactions?1. catabolic2. It depends on which body or cell part is growing or re
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

Anabolic.

Explanation:

The metabolic reactions of the body are important to maintain the physiology and homeostasis of the body. Two main types of reaction in the body are catabolic reactions and anabolic reactions.

The anabolic reaction is the reactions that are involved in the formation of the large molecules from the simpler substances. The anabolic reactions are involved in the growth and repair process as complex protein and factors are required that can only be obtained by the anabolic reactions.

Thus, the correct answer is option (3).
