The temperature on Tuesday afternoon is below 38 degrees Fahrenheit. As it states in the question the temperature on Tuesday morning was 27 degrees Fahrenheit and rose 10 more degrees at noon. Which makes is 37 degrees Fahrenheit at noon on Tuesday. You get this by taking 27 degrees and adding 10 degrees.

Answer:

The temperature on Tuesday at noon was 5^oF above 38^oF.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that on Monday morning the temperature was 38°F, but by the afternoon the temperature had risen 22°F.

So the temperature by Monday afternoon will be:

\text{Temperature by Monday afternoon}=38^o F+22^oF

\text{Temperature by Monday afternoon}=60^o F

We are also told that on Tuesday morning the temperature had dropped 27°F since Monday afternoon.

\text{Temperature by Tuesday morning}=60^o F-27^o F

\text{Temperature by Tuesday morning}=33^o F

Since the temperature rose 10^oF by the Tuesday noon, so temperature by Tuesday noon will be 10 degrees greater than temperature by Tuesday morning.

\text{Temperature by Tuesday noon}=33^o F+10^oF

\text{Temperature by Tuesday noon}=43^oF

To find the number of degrees temperature is above or below 38°F on Tuesday at noon we will subtract 38°F from the temperature on Tuesday at noon.

\text{The difference between temperatures}=43^oF-38^oF

\text{The difference between temperatures}=5^oF

Since the difference between temperature is positive, therefore, the temperature on Tuesday at noon was 5^oF above 38^oF.

Sahra is three times as old as her daughter. If the sum of their age is 32. what is the age of the daughter?
Andrews [41]
So Sahra is 3 times as old as her daugter. That means that the sum of their age is the daughters age times 4.
We can prove that by saying the daughters age is x. Sahra's age must be 3x. Their sum must be x+3x = 4x.
So to get the daughters age we divide the sum by 4, which is 8.

Problem 1, part (a)

<h3>Answer: False</h3>

For instance, 200 feet in real life can be reduced to scale down to say 2 inches on paper. So we have a reduction going on, and not an enlargement.

====================================================

Problem 1, part (b)

<h3>Answer: true</h3>

This is because a scale drawing involves similar polygons. This is true whenever any dilation is applied.

====================================================

Problem 2

I'm not sure how your teacher wanted you to answer this question. S/he didn't give you any numbers for the side lengths of the polygon. The angle measures are missing as well.
