The debate you refer to is about the ethics of embryonic stem cell research. And, of course, since ethics is involved many would tend to oppose further research on this area because to them it violates and does not respect life. Hope this helps. Have a nice day.

Scientists do not fully understand how stem cells proliferate and differentiate.

There are ethical concerns debated when using embryonic stem cells for research.

Scientists do not know the signals used by stem cells and if they are similar when forming specialized cells; they are unable to grow specialized and unspecialized cells in the lab.

How does genetics effects speciation?
Svet_ta [14]

Genetics affects speciation mostly via mutation caused due to adaptation and environmental conditions.

Explanation:

 • The Speciation is defined as the evolution of a species into a distinct species. The cause of this could be several, and some of them could be environmental conditions, mutations, etc
 • Environmental conditions include isolation of the species caused by mountain rise, river, flood etc. to survive they have to evolve or get adaptations to living in those conditions
 • Mutation happens for many reasons, external factors can also cause the mutations to occur. It will also lead to speciation.
