During the Renaissance period the musical compositions presented the monophonic in a constant way, this being one of the most striking characteristics of the music in that period. This characteristic is presented as a composition, played in a single melody, without any accompaniment or antagonistic melody. Monophony is, in short, a rhythmic unison using only the voices as a complement.
