Answer:

The entry into the war of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland or of France in favor of the Confederation would have greatly increased the chances of the South to gain independence from the Union. This, under the control of Lincoln and Secretary of State William Henry Seward, worked to prevent European powers from getting involved. He threatened that if they recognized the Confederation, this would amount to a declaration of war. Neither the United Kingdom nor France came to recognize the Confederate government as legitimate.

Charles Francis Adams, American ambassador to London, displayed intense activity to prevent the British government from abandoning its neutrality, so the United Kingdom was reluctant to challenge the blockade to which the Confederate ports were being subjected. The Confederation bought several warships in British shipyards.

Why did the strategies that the hoover administration used were successful or not successful
valentinak56 [21]
Hoover's approach to the Great Depression is considered by most historians as unsuccessful. One of the reasons why it was so unsuccessful were due to his economic beliefs.

Hoover was an advocate of the laissez faire approach to the economy. This meant that the government should only get involved in the economy a small amount. This is why he only develops a few federal works projects (like the Hoover Dam) to employ people. He fails to give direct financial assistance to citizens and does not attempt to fix the issues that caused the Great Depression in the first place.

What long term impact might the numbers of casualties have on a country like france?
Debora [2.8K]
What long term impact might the number of casualties of war have on a country?

The population will greatly decrease because many soldiers from each country were fighting in the war. If there happens to be another war, there will be a shortage of soldiers because most are missing, injured, or dead - this will cause a draft in order to have enough men to fight in the war.

hope this helps.

2. From your knowledge of American history, describe another conflict, recent or distant in time, in which Americans opposed eac
Stolb23 [73]

Answer: World War I.

Explanation:

When we talk about collective opposition to war, we can take World War I as an example. The beginning of the conflict in Europe and the world met with collective opposition to the entry into the United States' war by the people and the government. President Woodward Wilson himself was opposed to the country entering the war. The people supported him with slogans that could be seen across America in those years and read "The One Who Saved Us from the War," alluding to the president. The United States joined the war only near the end of the conflict when its interests began to be threatened. Globally, the people and the government were against involving the country in the war.

Which political value did the constitution value more than any other at its creation?
nirvana33 [79]
In the US constitution, the value that was most important was equality. The founding fathers faced oppression and a lack of representation from the British. Because of that they wanted equality, and from that "equal" representation, for their constituency. Equal in quotes in the previous statement is because not everyone had the same rights at the time. The rights and equality were meant for white, property owning males.
