The correct answer is B. by revealing attitudes related to spending and saving that many men held during the Victorian era.

The reason is that in "A Doll's House", written by Henrik Ibsen, the characters of Nora and Helmer have different perspectives about borrowing money. While Nora believes it is fine to ask for money, Helmer thinks that borrowing money is a wrong decision because he wants to remain financially stable abd to avoid debts. That is a clear attutude of men in the Victorian era.

The author uses the character of Torvald Helmer to explore a social issue B) By revealing attitudes related to spending and saving that many men held during the Victorian era.

During the Victorian Era, in which this work is set, people ruled their lifestyle by preserving money and finding their best way to face economical problems. They worked hard to get and keep what they had, and this can be clearly reflected in Torvald Helmer's attitudes about borrowing money.

Which sentence is CORRECT and does not contain a dangling modifier? A) Feeling anxious, holding still was difficult. B) Screamin
JulsSmile [24]

C) The bookshelves swayed with the weight of their load.

A dangling modifier is a description that seems to be connected to the wrong noun grammatically. Sometimes they are hard to spot since our brains make the connection for us, but if you read the sentence exactly as it is, you will notice it. Option A is wrong because the modifier is "feeling anxious", but we don't know who or what is feeling anxious. Our brains know that it is the person who is having to hold still, but there is no person in the sentence. Option B is not correct because the modifier "screaming" is close to the noun "raft" in the sentence. We know that a raft cannot scream therefore the modifier is not in the right place. Option D's modifier is "missing my family". In the sentence the modifier seems to be modifying dormitory, but this doesn't make sense since a dormitory doesn't have a family or the capability to miss one.

How does shakespeare make certain lines within his plays seem more important than others?
ladessa [460]

Answer:

I believe the answer is: Shakespeare make certain lines within his plays seem more important than others by having some lines contain more than 10 syllables.

Having a certain lines contain significantly longer sylllables than the other would make the line automatically stand out from the rest.

This would focus most of reader's attention to this line and make it seem more important than the others.
