Once it reaches the zone of saturation under the ground, groundwater begins to move slowly by the force of gravity through the interconnecting pore spaces until it reaches a discharge area, where it seeps or flows out into a wetland, spring, river, or pond to become part of the surface water.

The dirt sucks up the water from the surface to go to animals and plant and then becomes groundwater.

Scientists and doctors are working hard to find a way to cure cancer. Which cellular process are they studying to try and cure t
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

The correct option is B) regulation of mitosis

Explanation:

Cancer can be described as a group of diseases which result from uncontrolled, abnormal cell division. The cell division by which the cells divide (except sex cells) is termed as mitosis. Hence, scientists will be studying the regulation of mitosis if they are to find a cure for cancer.

Other options like option A are not correct because only sex cells divide by meiosis. Hence, regulation of meiosis will not cure cancer.

A retrovirus hijacks a cell's machinery to turn its rna into dna, which is then inserted into the cell's genome so viral protein
Doss [256]
No this virus does not follow the Central Dogma of Biology. The Central Dogma refers to the process involved in cellular replication starting from the replication of DNA, followed by transcription of DNA to RNA, and finally translation of RNA to proteins.

Viruses are special because they hijack cells and use the cell's own mechanisms in order for it replicate. Retroviruses are even more special because they go against the unidirectional flow of the Central Dogma. This is done with the use of their reverse transcriptase.

While it is true that stretching a "pumped" muscle will make it appear visibly smaller, it does not decrease the muscle's ______
Mazyrski [523]
While it is true that stretching the pumped muscle will make it appear visibly smaller, it does not decrease the muscle's size or inhibit muscle growth. Pumped muscles is when the muscles swell up during workout or exercises, that is caused by excessive amount of blood going into the muscles and filling it up the same way you would fill up a water balloon. This causes the muscles to get a very full, tight feeling and your skin becomes tighter.
