He was a military and politician who was 11 times the president of Mexico between 1833 and 1855. Among those presidencies, he took part in the Texas Revolution and the Mexican- American war as general of the Mexican army.

Those military campaigns seen in the point of view of the Mexican government were a complete disaster. In both wars, he lost the majority of the territory that Mexico had in North America.
