Mike goes grocery shopping for baby food for his young daughter. He has a coupon for a popular brand, but as he’s rounding the e

nd of the aisle he sees a display for a new brand of baby food. On the jar it says the baby food is all natural with no preservatives. Because he only wants the best for his daughter, he immediately buys the new brand even though it’s a bit more expensive. Explain what techniques the seller has used to market the new brand of baby food, and if Mike should have taken any additional steps before making his purchase.

People with kids or babies always want them to eat natural foods with no preservation, even if are a bit more expensive than the other available options.What they care about is the quality and health of the kids.So keeping this point in head,most of the brands uses the technique to compete with the other in-market brands. And that's what the shopkeeper did in this case.
Mike should have read the listed ingredients on the baby food jar.I think both of them would have the same,except a few.

Answer:

Given is -Because he only wants the best for his daughter, he immediately buys the new brand even though it’s a bit more expensive.

Here, the technique used by the seller is his way and art of using attractive keywords and phrases such as all natural and no preservatives.

Before making the purchase, the step Mike could have considered is, comparing the ingredients of both the baby foods.

It might have been possible that the previous baby food also had no preservatives and it was also natural.

Expand and simplify (y-3)³
Tanya [424]

Answer:

Expanded: (y-3)(y-3)(y-3)

Simplified:  y^{3}-9y^{2}+27y-27

Step-by-step explanation:

Expanded: (y-3)(y-3)(y-3)

Simplified:

y^{2} -3y-3y+9(y-3)\\y^{2} -6y+9(y-3)

y^{3} -3y^{2}-6y^{2}  +18y+9y-27

y^{3}-9y^{2} +27y-27

Find the vertex of the given quadratic function.
ki77a [65]

B

given f(x) in factored form, equate to zero for x-intercepts

(x - 8)(x - 4) = 0, hence

x = 4, x = 8 ← x- intercepts

The vertex lies on the axis of symmetry which is situated at the midpoint of the x- intercepts

x- coordinate of vertex = \frac{4+8}{2} = 6

f(6) = (6 - 8 )(6 - 4 ) = -2 × 2 = - 4 ← y-coordinate

vertex = (6, - 4 ) → B

Suppose you invest $16000 at 9% interest and that it is compounded daily. How much will you have in 8 years?
kramer

Answer:

The amount after 8 years is $ 16,031.579

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The Principal invested = $ 16000

The rate of interest compounded daily = 9 %

The time period = 8 years

Let The amount after 8 years = $ A

<u>From Compounded method </u>

Amount = Principal invested × (1+\dfrac{\textrm Rate}{365\times 100})^{365\times \textrm Time}

Or, Amount = 16000 × (1+\dfrac{\textrm 9}{365\times 100})^{365\times \textrm 8}

Or, Amount = 16000 × (1.0002465)^{8}

∴  Amount = $ 16,031.579

Hence The amount after 8 years is $ 16,031.579   Answer

Help! What is the average rate of change of f(x)=x^2+3x+6 over the interval -3 less-than-or-equal-to x less-than-or-equal-to 3?
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

The average rate of change of the function over the interval is 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Average rate of change of a function:

The average rate of change of a function f(x) over an interval [a,b] is given by:

A = \frac{f(b)-f(a)}{b-a}

Interval -3 less-than-or-equal-to x less-than-or-equal-to 3

This means that a = -3, b = 3

f(x) = x^2 + 3x + 6

So

f(b) = f(3) = (3)^2 + 3(3) + 6 = 9 + 9 + 6 = 24

f(a) = f(-3) = (-3)^2 + 3(-3) + 6 = 9 - 9 + 6 = 6

Average rate of change

A = \frac{f(b)-f(a)}{b-a} = \frac{24+6}{3-(-3)} = \frac{30}{6} = 5

The average rate of change of the function over the interval is 5.
