7h-5(3h-9)=-72

7h-15h+45=-72

-8h+45=-72

-8h+45-45=-72-45

-8h=-117

-8h/-8=-117/-8
h=117/8
Hope this helps :)

What is the surface area of this rectangular prism?
Lesechka [4]

Answer:

160cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

So the surface area is basicly the sum of all the areas of the rectangles in this prism.

So the formula can be written as 2(wl + hl+hw).

The w stands for width, the h stands for height, and the l stands for length.

5cm is the width, 10 cm is the length, and 2 cm is the height.

So inserting all those values for the variabls the formula now looks like this.

2((5)(10)+(2)(10)+(2)(5)).

So 5*10 is 50

2*10 is 20

2*5 is 10

So adding all that up we get 80.

Then multiplyong that by 2 we get 160cm^2.

A group of freshmen at a local university consider joining the equestrian team. Thirty‑five percent of students choose Western r
lesantik [10]

Answer:

a) Option D) 0.75

b) Option D) 0.3

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following in the question:

Percentage of students who choose Western riding = 35%

P(w) = 0.35

Percentage of students who choose dressage= 45%

P(d) = 0.45

Percentage of students who choose jumping = 50%

P(j) = 0.50

Percentage of students who choose both dressage and jumping = 20%

P(d \cap j) = 0.20

Percentage of students who choose Western and dressage = 10%

P(w \cap d) = 0.10

Percentage of students who choose Western and jumping = 0%

P(w \cap j) = 0

Thus, we can say

P(w \cap j \cap d) = 0

Formula:

P(A \cup B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A \cap B)

a) P(student chooses dressage or jumping)

P(d \cup j) = P(d) + P(j) -p(d \cap j)\\= 0.45 + 0.50-0.20 = 0.75

b) P(student chooses neither dressage nor Western riding)

= 1 - P(d \cup w)\\= 1 - (P(d) + P(w) - P(d \cap w))\\= 1 - (0.45 + 0.35 - 0.10)= 0.3

What is the value of x?
QveST [7]

Answer:

72°

Explanation:

Given that line J and line K are parallel, we can safely assume that line m is the transversal for the following question. We can also remove line l so that we can focus on line m instead.

Using the rule of Alternate Exterior Angle theorem, x would equal to 72°.
