For the reign of terror, Between June 1793 and the end of July 1794, there were 16,594 official death sentences in France, of which 2,639 were in Paris. There were more that died in prison instead of being executed.

The reign of terror was part of the period during the french revolution (<span>September 5, 1793 - July 27, 1794).
