Action verbs identify the action of a noun. Linking verbs connect a subject to its predicate without expressing an action. An example of an action verb is: The fox [jumped] over the fence. An example of a linking verb is: Kate [is] a beautiful girl.

I would describe Puck as mischevious and boyish, with a very charming and lovable personality.  He is also kind of a trouble-maker.  Hope I could help!

Does epic poetry have formal language or informal language ?
Naya [18.7K]
Epic poetry has very formal language. This type of poetry tells the stories of ancient heroes and their battles, and the style of writing is usually really elevated and fancy, so as to show how epic those characters are. Informal language is avoided at all costs.

Irina-Kira [14]
The author is implying that the father is two completely different people when at different locations. Like at home he might be a completely lenient, nice guy, but at church, he's a strict, mean person, etc.. that's mostly the gist of it, I hope this helped!

Andrei [34K]

Answer:

“And let every other power know that this Hemisphere intends to remain the master of its own house.”

Explanation:

This is the passage from Kennedy’s inaugural address that is a metaphor. A metaphor is a figure of speech that directly refers to one thing by mentioning another one. It allows us to make a comparison between two unlike objects. In this sentence, Kennedy compares a region with a house, and its people with the master of the house, in order to convey the importance of self-government and self-determination.
