The back yard was covered in late afternoon sunlight. The leaves danced in the trees, delighted that spring had finally arrived.

The tulips were bright slashes of color like a child's crayon drawing. In the garden, the first green shoots were pushing out of the soil to greet the warmth of the sun. Sitting on the porch swing, I drank in the beauty of nature, a delicious treat. Which fiction element is the focus in this paragraph?
a. Conflict
b. Theme
c. Setting
d. Plot

The correct answer is letter C. The fiction element that was used in this paragraph is the setting. The words that were used in the paragraph describe the immediate scene or setting with which the character is probably in. This type of writing sparks imagination of the readers because of its overall detailed description.

What adjectives would you use to describe Vonnegut's tone to the reader in Chapter 1? Why?
sattari [20]

Ironic and absurd

In my opinion, ironic and absurd are the adjective that characterize Vonnegut’s tone. Infact his novel’s black humor is built in a way to get to the absurd when, for example, he refers to the prisoners that in his point of view are similar to animals as “meat locker”.

Otherwise the dialogue of Wild Bob is a clear example of the second one, he lost his soldiers in the battle. He had assured them that are many Germans dead that are praying God not to meet him and his soldiers, his words are a clear moment of absurdity when we realized that he lost his mind.

HELP ASAP PLEASE!!!!
GrogVix [38]
"she" would be the pronoun.
You can rewrite this question as "She is your best friend?"
So in that case, "she" would be the subject.

In English, you just switch around "is" and the subject to make a question and make it sound Englishy
PS in Italian (and probably other languages) you would just say "She is your best friend?"
