PAR-Q is an acronym for Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire. Just like it is given in the question above, the (PAR-Q) Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire is use for assessing oneself before any fitness program. The questions in the questionnaire shows the reason an individual wants to join a fitness program and reasons that may hinder the fitness program such as medical conditions which may put the person in risk.
The PAR-Q can be seen as a self-screening questionnaire that should be used by anyone who desire or plan to start exercise program in which all the questions in the questionnaire are used to identify individual at high risk of exercise induce health challenge or risks which in turn help the fitness coach to determine such individual's safety or risk when starting an exercise.
The Fitness coach will then refer the individual with the potential health problems to the appropriate medical care.
As illustrated in Figure 1–1, a health care de- livery system incorporates four functional components—financing, insurance, delivery, and payment that—that are necessary for the delivery of health services. The four function- al components make up the quad-function model.
