Answer:

$10,500

Explanation:

The computation of Total cost is shown below:-

Unit cost =  (Total income tax expense +  Unit-level overhead + Batch-level set-up cost) × Units per batch

= ($3 + $2 + $1) × 5,000

= $6 × 5,000

= $30,000

Total incremental cost = Unit cost + Batch level set up cost + Product level Supervisory salaries + Rental income

= $30,000 + $25,000 + $37,500 + $18,000

= $110,500

Now, Present cost = Switches cost × Units per batch

= $20 × 5,000

= $100,000

Net increase in cost = Total incremental cost - Present cost

= $110,500 - $100,000

= $10,500

Therefore for computing the net increase in cost we simply deduct the present cost from total incremental cost.

Calip Corporation, a merchandising company, reported the following results for October: Sales $427,000 Cost of goods sold (all v
nekit [7.7K]

Answer: $222,800

Explanation:

Given that,

Sales = $427,000

Cost of goods sold (all variable) = $173,400

Total variable selling expense = $21,200

Total fixed selling expense = $18,900

Total variable administrative expense = $9,600

Total fixed administrative expense = $36,300

Variable expenses:

= Cost of goods sold + Variable selling expense + Variable administrative expense

= $173,400 + $21,200 + $9,600

= $204,200

Contribution margin = Sales - Variable expenses

                                  = $427,000 - $204,200

                                 = $222,800

Which part of real GDP fluctuates most over the course of the business cycle?
ozzi

Answer:

c. investment expenditures

Explanation:

The reason for this is that during business cycles investors gain trust in the economy during a boom and invest a lot and during a recession they lose trust in the economy and decrease their investment by a lot, where as a lot of consumption like food, medicine, petrol etc remains mostly unaffected by changes in business cycle. Also government spending does not fluctuate a lot during the course of a business cycle because government spending is either long term like development projects.
