What did I do wrong when finding out the sector area? I know the answer I got is wrong so can someone please help me
bonufazy [111]
I believe your mistake is that you are trying to use the sector area formula ti find arc length when there is already a formula for it.
The formula for it is
2r\pi( \frac{degree}{360} )
So first substitute the values in and then simplify!
2(10.5)\pi( \frac{118}{360} )
Now simplify!
21 × 118 is 2478 so it's
\frac{2478}{360} \pi
When divided ou and multiplied, this is 21.62cm!

The options for the first blank are 45, 240, 270, and 315
Schach [20]

Answer:

The solutions are <u>270°</u> and <u>450°</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

cos\frac{x}{2} =\frac{\sqrt{2} }{2}.

So, the second and third quadrant angle to be calculated.

cos\frac{x}{2}=135

=x=270°.

And, cos\frac{x}{2}=225

=x=450°

Therefore, the solutions are <u>270°</u> and <u>450°</u>.

B is the midpoint of ac. if ab=8x-7 bc=6x+7 find ac
quester [9]

Answer: AC = 98

Step-by-step explanation:

A midpoint is a point on a line segment that divides it into <em>two equal parts</em>.

This means AB = BC

AB = 8x - 7

BC = 6x + 7

AB = BC

8x - 7 = 6x + 7

Solve this to find x

Add 7 to both sides

8x = 6x + 14

Subtract 6x from both sides

2x = 14

Divide both sides by 2

x = 7

Now AC = AB + BC

AC = AB + BC

AC = 8x - 7 + 6x + 7

AC = 14x

Substitute 7 for x

AC = 14(7)

AC = 98

Hope this helps!

Compare the two figures. How many times bigger or smaller is the cone to
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

The proportion of the volume of the cone to the volume of the pyramid is: 3.14 times bigger.

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given the information of the cone: </u>

  • The height: 12 inches
  • The radius of the base is : 10/2= 5 inches

=> the volume of the cone

= 1/3πr^{2} *h

= 1/3*3.14*5^{2} *12

= 314 cubic inches

<u>Given the information of the pyramid: </u>

  • the height: 12 inches
  • The base is a suqare with a side lengh = 5 inches

=> the volume of the pyramid:

= 1/3*Bh            (where B is the area of the base)

= 1/3*5*5*12

= 100 cubic inches

<u>The proportion of the volume of the cone to the volume of the pyramid is: </u>

= 314 /100

= 3.14 times bigger.

Hope it will find you well
