I believe your mistake is that you are trying to use the sector area formula ti find arc length when there is already a formula for it.
The formula for it is
2r\pi( \frac{degree}{360} )
So first substitute the values in and then simplify!
2(10.5)\pi( \frac{118}{360} )
Now simplify!
21 × 118 is 2478 so it's
\frac{2478}{360} \pi
When divided ou and multiplied, this is 21.62cm!

Solve using substitution.
alexandr1967 [171]
You take the first equation and make a value for y. So 6x + y =7 change it to :
y = -6x + 7
Now in the second equation replace the “y” with -6x +7 this is what it means to use substitution method . Your combined equation will now be :
8x + 9(-6x + 7) =17
Now do distributive property and you get :
8x + -54x +63 =17
Now combine like terms ;
-46x +63 =17
-46x =-46
x = 1
Now replace 1 for X value and we can get the value of Y .
Y=1
X=1

Select the correct answer. What is the solution for x in the equation 5/3x + 4= 2/3x? A. B. C. D.
7nadin3 [17]

\boldsymbol{\sf{\dfrac{5}{3}x+4=\dfrac{2}{3}x   }}

<em>Subtract</em> 2/3x on both sides.

\boldsymbol{\sf{\dfrac{5}{3}x+4-\dfrac{2}{3}x=0    }}

Combine 5/3x and -2/3x to get x.

\boldsymbol{\sf{x+4=0 }}

Subtract 4 from both sides. <em>Any value</em> subtracted from zero results in its negative value.

\boldsymbol{\sf{x=-4 }}
