Which choice uses a semicolon correctly to join two independent clauses? My sister and I love to cook; we spend hours cooking to
ololo11 [35]
An independent clause is a sentence or part of one that can stand alone.

So I have a feeling that the first one is correct as "My sister and I love to cook" and "we spend hours cooking together" can both stand alone yet are joined by a semicolon.

I hope this has helped

Do you think students should have the same rights in school as outside
Why or why not?
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

In my opinion i think that students should hold the same right as the do outside school. In example, everyone has the right to defend themselves if they are being attacked or threatened. But as soon as the step in school that all goes out the window, if you get in a fight at school and you defend yourself you get in trouble too. This isn't quite right in my opinion.

Difference between talk,talking,talked,and talken?

Learning English:P
sdas [7]
Talk: if the word "did"(helping verb) is in front of the word it is meaning that someone spoke in the past, but if the helping verb "will" is before the word it means that someone is going to speak in the future (most likely about to start talking)

talk-"ing": the same thing as "talk" EXCEPT "ing" is a suffix which means presently, so "talking" means that someone is currently speaking.

talk-"ed": once again the same thing, however, the suffix "ed" means already DID or in the past.

talk- "en": actually this is sadly not an english word, but the suffix "en" means made of. For example, "golden" means MADE OF gold.

Hope this helped:)
