Excess amino acids are deaminated (removal of the amino group -NH2 and a Hydrogen atom) in the liver. This results in formation of ammonia which is combined with carbon dioxide to form urea. Urea is taken to kidneys and is excreted in the urine when you pee, amongst other waste.
