16.875=ab^3  (divided by what follows)

7.5=ab^1  gives you:

2.25=b^2

b=1.5 now we can solve for a...

7.5=a(1.5^1), a=5 so the function is:

y=5(1.5^x)

First, understand that an exponential function is one that is of the form y = a*b^x + c

So, you have two points
For the first point: 7.5 = a*b^1 + c ==> a*b + c = 7.5 = 15/2
For the second: 16.875 = a*b ^3 + c ==> a*b^3 + c = 16.875 = 135/8
Notice that 2 = 2^1 and 8 = 2^3...
also 15 = 5 * 3^1 and 135 = 5 * 27 = 5*3^3
So, let's leave c =0 (to make the function less complex)
then a = 5, b = 3/2
so: y = 5 (3/2)^x

Answer:

Yellow = 2/3(Blue)

Step-by-step explanation:

You only really need the first row of the table since it shows the volume of yellow to the volume of blue.

Before we write the equation we have to find the ratio and to do that we divide.

Divide the amount of yellow by the amount of blue:

3.5/ 5.25 = 0.666 = 2/3

now we can write the eqaution:

Yellow = 2/3(Blue)

Which rule represents the translation from the pre-image, ΔABC, to the image, ΔA'B'C'?
cluponka [151]

The rule represents the translation from the pre-image, ΔABC, to the image, ΔA'B'C' is (x, y) → (x + 7, y - 6).

<h3>What is translation?</h3>

When a line is translated, it means the line is moved from one position to another. The coordinate for triangle ABC are A(-3 ,4) , B(-4,1) and C(-2,1).

The coordinate of triangle A'B'C' is A'(4,-2), B'(3,-5), and C'(5,-5).

From above, it can be seen that the image A'B'C' is obtained from the pre-image ABC by translating the vertices of the image by 7 units to the right and 6 units down.

Therefore, the rule represents the translation from the pre-image, ΔABC, to the image, ΔA'B'C' is (x, y) → (x + 7, y - 6)

Hence, the rule represents the translation from the pre-image, ΔABC, to the image, ΔA'B'C' is (x, y) → (x + 7, y - 6).
