No.

It contains living cells (temporarily), but neither the cells nor the petal fit the definition of an organism: "any complete and entire living thing capable of carrying out all the processes necessary for life."

Technically, the petal as a whole is dead, but the cells within it are more or less still alive for the meantime as they don't die immediately after being plucked. It's like how if you shoot someone in the heart, they're still alive for a moment to a few minutes.

Why are many bacterial infections more difficult to treat now than they were fifty years ago
ollegr [7]
Bacterial infections were much harder to treat a long time ago because we didn't have the same technology or information that we do now. because we have worked so long on treating different things we have learned what works and what doesnt. the new technology has helped us understand the infection which led to us being able to find medication to treat said infection.

When a person is dehydrated, his or her iv fluids?
Lapatulllka [165]

When an individual is dehydrated, his or her intravenous fluids should be isotonic, because either a hypertonic or hypotonic IV would both cause damage to the individual’s red blood cells. Isotonic solutions are used: to increase the EXTRACELLULAR fluid volume because of blood loss, surgery, dehydration, fluid loss that has been loss extracellularly.

Which statement is TRUE?
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

All living organisms ranging from unicellular prokaryotes to multicellular eukaryotes contain genetic material (DNA). This genetic material is usually found on structures called CHROMOSOMES. Although, the chromosomes are contained in the genome of all living organisms, there are differences.

The genetic material of the bacteria (a typical prokaryote) is a single DNA molecule that makes up its single circular chromosomal material, unlike in eukaryotes that contains double-stranded DNA molecules on linear chromosomes. This single circular chromosome of bacteria is found naked in a region of their cell called NUCLEOID, as they do not possess a membrane-bound nucleus that houses it (a unique characteristics of eukaryotes).

The mitochondrial and Chloroplast DNA mentioned in the other options are all components of eukaryotic cells. Bacteria, as a prokaryote does not contain this organnelles. Hence, they are not single replica.

Tell whether the statement is TRUE or FALSE. Adult brains have about five times the number of connections that a three-year-old
Advocard [28]
It would be completely false to state that adult brains have about five times the number of connections that a three-year-old has. The correct option among the two options that are given in the question is the second option. A child brain has twice as many connections than that of an adult brain.
