You can use Substitution to solve this problem:

4x-y=20

-y=-4x+20

y=4x-20

Now you have two equations, and you use the first one to substitute into the second one.

y=4x-20     and     -2x-2y=10

-2x-2(4x-20)=10

-2x-8x+40=10

-10x+40=10

-10x=-30

-x=-3

x=3

Now that we have figured out what x is, we can substitute x in to one of the equations to figure out y.

4x-y=20       x=3

4(3)-y=20

12-y=20

-y=8

y=-8

<em><u>So your answer would be x=3 and y=-8</u></em>

Vesna [10]
Let x be a discrete binomial random variable that measures the number of successes in n trials.
 Let p = 0.4 be the probability of success, that is, the probability that a deer has the aforementioned type of tick.
 So the probability that 124 deer or less have this type of tick is calculated using the probability formula for a binomial distribution.
 P (X <= x) = sum from x = 0 to x = 124 of (300! / ((X! * (300-x)!)) * (P ^ x) * (1-p) ^ n-x.
 Finally the probability is 0.7030

Joy is preparing 15 liters of a 20% saline solution. She only has 30% and 10% solution in her lab. How many liters of the 30% an
Svet_ta [14]
If you mix 1 liter of the 10% solution with 1 liter of the 30% solution, you will have 2 liters of 20% solution. Keeping that in mind, you must mix half of the number of liters with 10%, and the other half with 30% in order to get 20%. So knowing all those things, we can do the problem. She needs 15 liters of 20%, so you need to mix 7.5 liters of 10% with 7.5 liters of 30%. After mixing those, you'll have 15 liters of 20% solution. I hope this helps. Please put as brainliest.

Which statement describes how the reasonable domain<br> compares to the mathematical domain?
tigry1 [53]

A statement which best describes how the reasonable domain compares to the mathematical domain is that: C. the mathematical domain includes all real numbers, while the reasonable domain includes only real numbers greater than 2.

<h3>What is a domain?</h3>

In Mathematics, a domain can be defined as the set of all real numbers for which a particular function is defined. This ultimately implies that, a domain is the set of all possible input numerical values or numbers to a function and the domain of any graph comprises all the input numerical values or numbers which are primarily shown on the x-axis.

Next, we would evaluate the function which represents the perimeter of this rectangle by substituting the value of 2 as follows:

f(w) = 6w – 8

f(2) = 6(2) – 8

f(2) = 12 – 8

f(2) = 4.

For the length of this rectangle, we have:

Length = 2w - 4

Length = 2(2) - 4

Length = 4 - 4

Length = 0

Therefore, the width of this rectangle must be real numbers that are greater than 2.

Complete Question:

A rectangle has a length that is equal to 4 less than twice the width. The function for the perimeter depending on the width can be expressed with the function f(w) = 6w – 8, where w is the width of the rectangle in centimeters.

Which statement describes how the reasonable domain compares to the mathematical domain?

Both the mathematical and reasonable domains include only positive real numbers.

Both the mathematical and reasonable domains include only positive whole numbers.

The mathematical domain includes all real numbers, while the reasonable domain includes only real numbers greater than 2.

The mathematical domain includes all real numbers, while the reasonable domain includes only whole numbers greater than 2.
