25.46 - (18.78 - 5.68)
First, always work out the brackets. HINT: Brackets mean to multiply.
So, first we take 25.46, and as I said before, brackets mean to multiply.
First, we have to find out what is in the brackets — we have to take away :
18.78 – 5.68 = 13.1
Then we take 25.46 and MULTIPLY 13.1
The answer is 333.5(correct to 1 d.p)
Hope this helps!!!!!!

Karen set her watch 1 second behind, and it falls behind another 2 seconds every day. How many days has it been since Karen last
Kay [80]

Answer:

The equation to find the answer is  9=1+(n-1)2.

It has been 5 days since Karen has set her watch.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Karen set her watch 1 second behind

So we will consider;

First term 'a'  = 1 second

Also Given :

it falls behind another 2 seconds every day.

So we can consider;

Common difference = 2

We need to find number of days it has been 9 seconds since Karen last set her watch

Solution:

Let number of days be represented by 'n'.

Also Let T(n) = 9

Now By Applying formula for Arithmetic Progression we get;

T(n)=a+(n-1)d

Substituting the given values we get;

9=1+(n-1)2

Hence The equation to find the answer is  9=1+(n-1)2.

On Solving the above equation we get;

Subtracting both side by 1 we get;

9-1=1+(n-1)2-1\\\\8=(n-1)2

Now Dividing both side by 2 we get;

\frac{8}{2}=\frac{(n-1)2}{2}\\\\4=n-1

Adding 1 on both side we get;

4+1=n-1+1\\\\n=5

Hence It has been 5 days since Karen has set her watch.

Answer:

6 Hours

Step-by-step explanation:

No.of leaflets---no.of people---work hours

1000 ————. 4. - — — — — — — 5

1500 — — — —5 — — — — — ,— —?

If work increase, no.of people needed more

So, the required ratio is 1500/1000

If work men increase, no of hours decrease

So, the required ratio is 4/5

(1500/1000)× (4/5)×5 = 6

No.of hours required to distribute 1500 leaflets by 5 people = 6 hours

Select the correct answer. Function f is an exponential function that has an initial value of 64 and decreases by 50% as x incre

Answer:

  D. Both functions are decreasing at the same average rate on that interval

Step-by-step explanation:

The dashed lines on the attached graph of the two functions (f in red, g in purple) represent the average rate of change of each function on the interval. The lines are parallel, because the average rate of change is the same for each of the functions on that interval.

__

Function f decreases by 60 units from f(0) = 64 to f(4) = 4 on the interval x = [0, 4]. Function g decreases by 60 units from g(0) = 75 to g(4) = 15 on the same interval. The average rate of change is the amount of decrease divided by the interval width. Those values are the same for both functions.
