Ribonucleic acid is the single-stranded nucleic acid which plays a role in protein synthesis i.e. transcription. The three types of the same are messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA), and ribosomal RNA (rRNA). All of them has distinguished roles in protein synthesis.
