It simple asks you to multiple 9 by 12.

Z is a variable / a setting unknown number is divided by 12 to give you 9

To find
Z you would have to take the ÷12 to the opposite side crossing over the = sign

which will make it the ÷ sign to change it the opposite which is × ( the opposite of ÷ is × and the opposite of - is + )

You are now left with
Z = 9 × 12

and you know that 9 × 12 is 108 which makes Z, 108.

Z = 108

How can you tell when a quadratic equation has no real solutions? . . A. when the radicand is negative. B. when b in the quadrat
Zepler [3.9K]
The nature of the roots of a quadratic equation may be readily determined through the use of its discriminant,
                                         D = sqrt (b² - 4ac)
We can tell if the quadratic equation does not have a real root it the radicand is negative. Therefore, the answer is letter A.

strojnjashka [21]
The equation to find percent error is

\frac{actual-theoretical}{theoretical}*100

where actual is the value that actually came out (in this case, 11.5 km) and theoretical is the value that was supposed to come out (in this case, 10 km).  Just plug in the numbers and simplify.

\frac{actual-theoretical}{theoretical}*100\\\\\frac{11.5-10}{10}*100=\frac{1.5}{10}*100=15\%\ error

So, the true answer would be 15%.  Apparently, the question you're asking takes 11.5 as the theoretical and the 10 as the actual (which I personally disagree with)

If you plugged in the numbers that way, the answer comes out to 13.04%.  So, the correct answer for your answer choices is c. 13%

\sin B is the ratio of the length of the leg opposite angle B to the length of the hypotenuse:

\sin B=\dfrac{21}{29}

It will be the same as \cos A, which is the ratio of the length of the leg adjacent to angle A to the lenght of the hypotenuse.
