The answer for the above question is D. Bioremedation;
Aquifer is a body of rock or sediment that can hold and release water at an economic cost. Permeability and porosity are generally high, mainly two types, that is confined and unconfined. Confined aquifer is an aquifer bounded above and below aquicludes or aquitards. It is not open to the atmosphere and does not have a fluctuating water table. Unconfined aquifer on the other hand is open to the atmosphere and has water table that flactuates with rainfall.

The process of Beta-oxidation and fatty acid synthesis are regulated in such a manner that neither process is active at the same
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

c) Acetyl COA carboxylase; citrate

Explanation:

Citrate serves as an allosteric activator for fatty acid synthesis and diverts the cellular metabolism from the consumption of metabolic fuel to the storage of fuel as fatty acids. When the concentrations of mitochondrial acetyl-CoA and ATP increase, citrate is transported out of mitochondria into the cytosol. In the cytosol, citrate serves as the precursor of cytosolic acetyl-CoA and an allosteric activator of acetyl-CoA carboxylase.

The enzyme Acetyl-CoA carboxylase has three functional regions. Its biotin carboxylase activates CO2 and its transcarboxylase transfers activated CO2 from biotin to acetyl-CoA to produce malonyl-CoA.

Explain what terms in the Hardy-Weinberg equation give: allele frequencies (dominant allele, recessive allele, etc.) each genoty
zysi [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

Hardy Weinberg equation is presented below and describes that in a population the frequency of alleles ad genotypes will remain static or the same in the absence of evolutionary disturbances such as mutation, migration ( gene flow), natural selection and with the population large and random mating

p² +2pq + q²

where p represents the frequency of the dominant alleles

q represent the frequency of the recessive alleles

p² represent the frequency of the dominant homozygous genotype

q² represent the frequency of the recessive homozygous genotype

2pq represent the frequency of the heterozygous genotype

q² also represent the frequency of the recessive phenotype

(p² + 2pq) represent the frequency of the dominant phenotype
