The cover would have a diameter of 22 feet ( 20 feet plus 1 foot ( 12 inches) on each side)

The formula for area of a circle is A = PI x r^2

r = 1/2 the diameter = 1/2 x 2 = 11 feet

A) Area = PI x 11^2 = PI x 121 = 380.13 square feet ( round answer as needed).

The length of the rope would be the circumference of the cover.

To find the circumference multiply the diameter by PI:

B) 22 feet x PI = 69.12 feet ( round answer as needed).
