Answer:

hi!

Explanation:

Shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Connecticut, on December 14, 2012, which left 28 dead and 2 injured. After taking his mother's life at home, Adam Lanza fatally shot 20 children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School before deciding to end his life. It was one of the deadliest school shootings in the history of the United States.

While the police tried to discover a reason for the attack, aggravated by the age of the victims, most of whom were six or seven years old, sparked a renewed debate on the rights of the Second Amendment.

The arms control advocates focused special attention on the weapon Lanza had used. Some semiautomatic assault rifles had been banned under legislation passed by the United States Congress in 1994, but that law was voided in 2004.

Lawmakers pledged to introduce some kind of legislation on gun control in the wake of the Newtown shootings, and the US president. UU. Barack Obama declared that he would use all the powers of his office to avoid future mass shootings. The National Rifle Association responded by defending the introduction of armed guards in all American schools.

More than a fifth of public and private schools in the US UU. They already employed the police or other armed security personnel. The distinctive piece of federal legislation that was inspired by Sandy Hook was the proposed assault weapons ban of 2013.

Submitted by Senator Dianne Feinstein a month after the shooting, the bill banned the sale of more than 150 specific models of firearms, as well as magazines containing more than 10 rounds of ammunition. Although there was broad public support for more restrictive weapons laws, the bill was defeated 60-40 in the Senate.

Evaluate the extent to which the strategies of the African American Civil Rights movement changed in the period from 1945 to 198
Cloud [144]

The strategy of the African-American civil rights movement changed from legality to illegal mass actions.

What is the African-American civil rights movement?

The Civil Rights Movement is the name of a national organization that fought to demand full access to civil rights and equality before the law for the African-American community.

What strategy did they use to protest?

During the 1950s the African-American movement was not as strong in the United States, during this decade some activists took individual actions to demand their rights.

However, since the end of the 1950s, massive activities and demonstrations began to be carried out that were hardly controlled by state forces and that drew much attention from the press and government agencies.

This generated that more attention to their demands and they managed to achieve equal access to rights as citizens and the eradication of racial segregation.
