I’m not sure exactly what was in the document but here are some quick facts about Kate Chopin:

The Awakening was Chopins second novel, At Fault being her first.

Many of her stories were set in Louisiana because she lived there for many years

Her husband died in 1882, when Chopin was just 32 years old

The Awakening did not earn its appreciation until the 1960s, years after Chopins death

The Awakening is also considered a classic
