Answer:

The risks of having one ruler that controls everything in the country definitely overrules its advantages.

Explanation:

During the republican phase of Rome, the empire was under the control of a dictator who was known as the magistrate. The dictator’s reign usually lasted for over six months, during which he has complete authority to take military, and the opportunities for people to veto his actions were very limited.

Having a single ruler in the case of wars can have several disadvantages, for instance all decisions are initiated by the leader, regardless of his people’s opinion. This may lead to an unwanted war for personal benefits and cause several losses, as well as a possibility of the people turning against their ruler.

On the other hand, having one leader can minimises the probability of having multiple decisions, which may lead to internal conflicts in the same government. From what is previously mentioned, the risks of having one ruler that controls everything in the country definitely overrules its advantages.

Which explains why the Phoenicians developed a currency? (4 points)
dedylja [7]

Answer:

1. They needed a fair way to trade with other regions.

2. They used to trade with goods but that way of bartering became very confusing, so they created a currency to simplify this.

3. This use of currency could save time and energy for citizens who used to have to lug around heavy carts full of livestock or luggage.

4. The Ancient Phoenicians culture was based around the bartering and trade system. While this was fine for the time being the Phoenicians soon had a need for a modernized value. This is where the coin was brought into play which created a needed symbol of hard work and time spent.

Discuss the causes of the independence movements in order to pinpoint the reason for the collapse of Spanish and Portuguese rule
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

The weakness of the colonizer

Explanation:

The indepence movements arise at a moment when the former empires have lost its over-all control of their colonies because of internal conflicts and economic downfall. This of course is not the only factor but it sure has been one of the most important ones. If we look at Spain we´ll see that as early as the 17th century the Iberian empire is starting to crumble - Antonio García de León, from a Mexican point of view, explains in several books and articles ( Economía y vida cotidiana en el Veracruz del siglo 17) why.

After Napoleon invaded Spain in the beginning of the 19th century the once so powerful Iberian empire was completely lost and divided. It was the moment for people like Simon Bolivar to try their luck.

Who was buried with a bottle of jack daniels whiskey
olga55 [171]

Answer: Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra was a singer, actor, producer and director who lived during the golden age of Hollywood. He was popularly known for his personality and impeccable voice when singing, one of his best hits being the song "My Way".

This artist characterized himself by always toasting with a glass of Jack Daniel's whiskey on the stage when singing. He was so fond of this whiskey that he asked to be buried with a bottle of this brand when he died.

His posthumous desire was fulfilled, after dying in 1998 due to a heart attack and other complications, at 82 years. He was buried next to his parents, with a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey, a pack of cigarettes, a lighter and a dollar in dimes. Continuing his legend and his legacy after death.
