The ratio between the amount of blue and yellow paint needed to make green paint is 2: 3.

That is, for every 2 liters of blue paint you need 3 liters of yellow paint.

In the same way, for every 4 liters of blue paint, 6 liters of yellow paint are needed.

Then, to continue filling the table, you must consecutively sum 2 liters of blue paint and 3 liters of yellow paint in the corresponding column. This will increase the amount of green paint by a factor of 5 liters.

The same procedure is followed until 45 liters are summed to the green paint column. Then, the data in that row will indicate how much blue and yellow paint is needed:

18 liters of blue paint

27 liters of yellow paint

To verify the result divided 18/27

The result should be 0.6667 = 2/3, which is the ratio sought

never [62]

Answer:

Option C is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of students of Deerlake middle school that voted = 442

Percentage of student that voted = 76%

Let x be the total number of student.

According to the Question,

\frac{76}{100}\times x=442

x=442\times\frac{100}{76}

x=582

Therefore, Option C is correct.

The domain does not exist when the denominater of an equation is zero. So in this case if x was -2 and we added 2 the denominator would be zero, and that value does not exist in the domain. Hope this helps!

How do you find a volume of a cone?
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

 V = (1/3)πr²h

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cone is 1/3 the volume of a cylinder with the same radius and height.

 Cylinder Volume = πr²h

 Cone Volume = (1/3)πr²h

where r is the radius (of the base), and h is the height perpendicular to the circular base.

_____

Comment on area and volume in general

You will note the presence of the factor πr² in these formulas. This is the area of the circular base of the object. That is, the volume is the product of the area of the base and the height. In general terms, ...

 V = Bh . . . . . for an object with congruent parallel "bases"

 V = (1/3)Bh . . . . . for a pointed object with base area B.

This is the case for any cylinder or prism, even if the parallel bases are not aligned with each other. (That is, it works for oblique prisms, too.)

Note that the cone, a pointed version of a cylinder, has 1/3 the volume. This is true also of any pointed objects in which the horizontal dimensions are proportional to the vertical dimensions*. (That is, this formula (1/3Bh), works for any right- or oblique pyramid-like object.)

__

* in this discussion, we have assumed the base is in a horizontal plane, and the height is measured vertically from that plane. Of course, any orientation is possible.
