Answer:

f = 11.946

f = 12 (Appropriately)

Step-by-step explanation:

Cosine Rules states that:

Cos F = (p² + t² - f²) / 2pt

f²= p² + t² - 2pt CosF

PARAMETERS from the Question:

f = ??

p = 7

t = 5

F = 175°

Therefore:

f²= p² + t² - 2pt CosF

f² = 7² + 5² - 2 * 7 * 5 Cos 175°

f² = 48 + 25 - 70 Cos 175°

f² = 73 - (70 * - 0.996)

f² = 73 + 69.72

f² = 142.72

f = √142.72

f = 11.946

f = 12 (Appropriately)

Answer: 12

Step-by-step explanation:

law of cosines states that f^2 = t^2 + p^2 - 2tp cos(F)

so f^2 = 5^2 + 7^2 - 2*5*7*cos(175)

f^2 = 74 - (-69.7336)

f^2 = 143.7336

f = 11.9889

which rounds to 12

Can someone please help with these 2 questions? It would mean the world to me. I have attached the image for the questions.
sweet [91]

Answer:

2 \frac{1}{20}

Step-by-step explanation:

for question a)

It would be easier if you converted these to improper fractions (currently it is in the form of a proper fraction)

to convert to improper fraction, you would multiply the denominator (bottom no. of fraction) by the whole number , then add that with the numerator (top no. of fraction) and put the whole thing over the denominator.

E.g.

7 \frac{1}{4} = 7x4 + 1 = 29

Thus, improper fraction would be \frac{29}{4}

do same thing  for other one

thus , \frac{26}{5}

now,

\frac{29}{4} - \frac{26}{5}

however, you can't do this as the denominators are not the same, so multiply them by a number which would give the a common denominator (20 would be the best option for common denominator)

\frac{145}{20} -\frac{104}{20} = \frac{41}{20}

convert back to mixed number

2 \frac{1}{20}

Diameter of a circle is 6 miles, what is the circumference
sattari [20]

Answer:

C≈18.85mi

Step-by-step explanation:

E.G :   to solve the equation for the diameter of the circle, d= C/π. In this example, "d = 12 / 3.14." or "The diameter is equal to twelve divided by 3.14." Divide the circumference by pi to get the answer. In this case, the diameter would be 3.82 inches.

Find the circumference and the area of a circle with radius 8 cm.
andrey2020 [161]

Step-by-step explanation:

Circumference =

2\pi \: r

Area =

\pi \: {r}^{2}

Using r = 8 cm and

\pi \:  = 3.14

Circumference = 50.24 cm

Area = 200.96 sq cm
