6x - 1/5 = 3

Do the inverse operation.

6x - 1/5 = 3
     +1/5    +1/5

6x = 3 1/5

6x/6 = 3 1/5 /6

KCF:- Keep the first fraction, change the sign, flip the second fraction.

3 1/5 divided by 6/1

3*5 +1 = 15+1 =16

16/5 * 1/6

16*1 = 16
5*6 = 30

16/30 = 16/2 and 30/2
8/15

Final answer: x = 8/15

6x -  \frac{1}{5} =  \frac{3}{1} \\ \\ 6x -  \frac{1}{5} = 3 \\ \\  6x = 3 + \frac{1}{5} \\ \\ 6x =  \frac{16}{5} \\ \\ x =  \frac{16}{5 \times 6} \\ \\ x =  \frac{16}{30} \\ \\ x =  \frac{8}{15} \\ \\ Answer: \fbox {x = 8/15} \ or \ \fbox {x = 0.5333}

Choose the correct number in which 5 has a value of 5 tenths *
Darya [45]

Step-by-step explanation:

I am thinking that the question means that there is a 5 one place to the right of the decimal. If this is correct then the answer is 67.596. One place to the right of the decimal is the tenths place.

In APQR, find the measure of Z.P.
egoroff_w [7]

Step-by-step explanation:

multiple possibilities.

e.g.

we could use Pythagoras to get QR, and then use the law of sine to get angle P.

or we can use the law of sine to get angle R, and then use the rule that the sum of all angles in a triangle is always 180° to get angle P.

I propose the second option :

the law of sine :

a/sin(A) = b/sin(B) = c/sin(C)

with a, b, c being the sides always opposite of their associated angles.

33.8/sin(R) = 57.6/sin(90) = 57.6

sin(R) = 33.8/57.6 = 0.586805555...

R = 35.93064691...°

180 = 90 + 35.93064691... + P

P = 54.06935309...°

Write an equation that involves
Romashka [77]

so the solution is 5 we'll start with that

x=5

to do reverse multiplcation, you must divide so

x=5

x/10=5/10

x/10=1/2

then the other problem

x=5

5x=25

to solvve

x/10=1/2

multiply by 10

x=5

then

5x=25

divide both sides by 5

x=5

Find the value of x in the trapezoid below. Show equations and all work that leads to your answer.
chubhunter [2.5K]

Since the side is a transversal to the parallel bases, the angles formed are supplementary. This lets you write the relation

... (3x-5)° + (5x+13)° = 180°

... 8x +8 = 180

... x = (180 -8)/8 = 21.5

The value of x is 21.5.

The low temperatures for one week at a ski resort were: -24, -15, -21, -32, -18, -9, & -14. What was the mean low temperatur
monitta
Add the temps up
-24 + (-15) + (-21) + (-32) + (-18) + (-9) + (-14) = -133
now divide by how many numbers there are
-133/7 = -19 <== the mean (average)
