To estimate this, round 53 to 50 and 12 to 10. 50 times 10 will be roughly what? 500. that is the estimated answer. the real answer is 636.

Answer:

636 students can be seated

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

For a school assembly student's sit in chairs that are arranged in 53 rows.

There 12 chairs in each row .

To Find : About how many students can be seated show how you estimated.

Solution:

No. of chairs in 1 row = 12

There are 53 rows

So, no. of chairs in 53 rows = 53 \times 12

                                             = 636

So, 636 students can be seated

If a toaster oven that is connected to a 120 v plug has 16 A of current running through it, what is the resistance?
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

The resistance is 7.5 ohms

Step-by-step explanation:

V = IR

V = voltage  I is the current and R = resistance

120 = 16*R

Divide by 16 on both sides

120/16 = 16R/16

7.5 = R

The resistance is 7.5 ohms

Points A(-2, 4), B(1, 3), C(4, -1) and D form a parallelogram. What are the coordinates of D?
Rudik [331]
Let point A(-2,4)  = A (X1,Y1)
      point B( 1,3  )= B (X2,Y2)
      point C(4,-1)  = C (X3,Y3)
and point D(?, ?) = D (X4,Y4)  We have to find this point

To find X4 we have to use the formula:
X2-X1=X3-X4

Now just plug in the numbers that correspond to the letters provided:
(1)-(-2)=(4)-(X4) ----> we don't know what X4 is yet, so we have to solve for it!
1+2=4-X4
3=4-X4
3-4=-X4
-1=-X4  divide both sides by -1
X4=1

Now we have to find Y4 using this formula:
Y2-Y1=Y3-Y4

Therefore,
(3)-(4)=(-1)-(Y4)
-1=-1-Y4
-1+1=-Y4
0=-Y4
So,
Y4=0

Now we have found the coordinates of the point D, which is (1,0)

Hope this helped!

If f(x)= 3x + 1 and f^(-1)= x-1/3, then the ordered pair of f^(-1)(10)=
iragen [17]

The answer is B

The correct inverse of 3x+1 is actually (1/3)x - 1/3

plug in 10 to the inverse

10/3 - 1/3 = 9/3 or 3

this gives you the point (10,3)
