Equality is not one of the three values added.

Answer: Option C

Explanation:

Robin Williams had defined twelve core values which are present in the American society. They are work, personal achievement, humanitarianism, individualism, efficiency and practicality, progress, material comfort, science and rationality, democracy, equality, freedom, and racial and group superiority.

Shortly after the list was out, Henslin updated the same by adding education, religiosity, and romantic love, thus increasing the total to fifteen. Although these values are separate and distinct, sometimes they can be prone to conflicts if they exist simultaneously. One example includes the lack of possibilities for equality, racism and sexism to exist at the same time.

Genrish500 [490]

I believe the answer is: read the novel aloud and discuss it with the students who struggle

When readers struggle to read they are very likely to stop reading it and making an opinion that the writing is bad and does not make sense. By making them read in group setting the readers would most likely realize why they do not understand it and it open up opportunities for exchange of opinion and idea among the group.

eduard

Answer:

c. actions followed by pleasurable consequences are more likely to occur

Explanation:

The law of effect by Edward Thorndike states that responses that produce a pleasurable consequence in a particular situation are more likely to occur again in that situation, and responses that produce a punishment or pain are less likely to occur again in that situation. This law was made in 1905 and it suggests that actions are based on consequences that might have occurred in the past.

In an approach–approach conflict, a person must choose between two or more goals that will lead to _____.
Kay [80]
The answer is a desirable outcome. In an approach-approach, the individual is faced with the necessity of making a choice between two (or more) desirable goals. Since both goals are desirable, this is the least worrying situation. "Shall I fly or take a boat to Europe?" might be easily determined if both means of travel are seen as pleasurable. Such situations produce a state of unstable equilibrium. As soon as one goal is approached, its desirability increases and completely dominates, thereby making the choice easy. The choice becomes easier the closer one moves toward either goal. Another example is when a person pick between two attractive and practicable careers, may lead to some indecisiveness but rarely to great distress. A person chooses the most convenient goal that results to a desirable outcome.
