155;
rounding to the nearest whole number basically means rounding the decimals so they disappear e.g. 11.5 would round up to 12 because 5+ rounds upwards and below 4 rounds down so say it was 15.34 it would round down so it would be 15.
I hope this helps ;)

The correct answer is 155 because 3 in the hundredths place doesn't round up the 4 so therefore the correct answer is be 155.

Write the equation x + 3y = -4 in slope-intercept form, and then find the slope and y-intercept.
katrin2010 [14]

Answer with step by step explanation

To find the equation of the line from the given equation, you have to make y as the subject in the equation.

Let us find now.

x + 3y = -4

3y = -4 - x

3y = -x - 4

Divide the whole equation by 3.

y = -x/3 - 4/3

Therefore, the equation of the line is:

y = -x/3 - 4/3

And now we have to find the slope and the y - intercept of the line.

That is, we have to find the m & c of y = m x + c.

Here,

m ⇒ slope

c ⇒ y - intercept

So, to find it we have to find the values which were replaced with m & c.

Let us find now.

y = m x + c

y = -x/3 - 4/3

Now it is clear that, -1/3 & -4/3 are replaced with m & c respectively.

Therefore,

slope ⇒ -1/3

y - intercept ⇒ -4/3

From a board 8 feet in length, Emmet cut two 2 ⅓ foot bookshelves. How much of the board remained?
RideAnS [48]

Answer:

3 2/5

I converted these into decimals, because I find it easier ^.^

We have an 8 feet board, and we twice remove 2 1/3 from that number.

8 - 2 1/3 = 5.7

5.7 - 2 1/3 = 3.4 or 3 2/5

~Hope this helps~

The new perimeter will be 3 times the old perimeter.

Original perimeter:
2(8+7) = 2(15) = 30 yds

New perimeter once they are tripled:
3 x 8 = 24
3 x 7 = 21
2(24+21) = 2(45) = 90 yds

30 x 3 = 90
