As it was not mentioned, we assume that it is a simple interest rate (it would be different if it was compound interest rate)

So we have now:
- <span>initial deposit of $800  (p=800)
- </span><span>annual rate of 10%      (r=0.1)
- </span><span>leaves the account untouched for 8 years  (t=8)

Apply the formula in the chart attached:

I=p*r*t=800*0.1*8=640~\$

So the interest is 640$

Add this to the original deposit (800$) to get the full amount of money (the balance) after 8 years

800+640=1440$

Done!!

</span>

I hope that helps!

The Cutty Sark is a famous clipper ship (look it up)! A Cutty Sark model kit advertises a scale ratio of 1: 78, a length of 45 i
lukranit [14]

Answer: If the ratio is 1:78, a) the Cutty Sark is 3510 inches long or 292.5 ft; b) the Cutty Sark is 2028 inches tall or 169 ft according to this model

Step-by-step explanation: The ratio indicates that for every inch of the model, it corresponds to 78 inches of the actual size. If the length is 45 inches for the model, it would be an equivalent of 45*78 of the actual size = 3510 inches. The same can be applied to the height. Multiplying 26 x 78, the actual size should have a height of 2028 inches.

Find the distance between the points (4,-2) and (0,10)
vagabundo [1.1K]

We can solve this problem by using the distance formula. The distance formula is: \sqrt{(x_{1}-x)^{2} + (y_{1} - y)^{2}} We can now put in values and solve.

\sqrt{(4-0)^{2} + (-2-10)^{2}}

\sqrt{16 + 144}

\sqrt{160}

Noralie is making a necklace using a total of 48 beads. All of the beads will be either blue or yellow. She plans to use 1/3 as
Morgarella [4.7K]
Since there are a total of 48 beads and each bead will either be blue or yellow, in order to find out how many of each colour bead she will use, do the following:

Divide 48 by 3 to get 16 yellow beads.

Now that you know how many yellow beads there are, just subtract that from 48:
48 - 16 = 32

Therefore, she will use 16 yellow beads and 32 blue beads.
