Statement #1:

Since there are 30 total pizzas then the amount of pizzas with 12 slices is 60% of 30 which is 18. Then you can multiply 18 by 12 to get the amount of slices in the large pizzas with 12 slices:

18 × 12 = 216

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

60% of the pizzas have 12 slices each. In total, there are 216 slices in these pizzas.

Statement #2

There are 12 remaining pizzas which means that 12 × 10 = 120 is the amount of slices in total of the smaller pizzas.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

40% of the pizzas have 10 slices each. In total, there are 120 slices in these pizzas.

Statement #3

To get the total amount of pizzas you simply add both of the previous solutions:

216 + 120 = 336

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Altogether, there is a total of 336 slices of pizza.

What is the solution to the inequality? -2/3(2x - 1/2) ≤ 1/5x - 1 Express your answer in interval notation.
almond37 [142]

ANSWER

-\frac{2}{3}(2x-\frac{1}{2})\le \frac{1}{5}x-1

Multiply through by LCM of 15

(15) \times -\frac{2}{3}(2x-\frac{1}{2})\le 15(\frac{1}{5}x-1)

-10(2x-\frac{1}{2})\le 3x-15

Expand brackets to obtain,

-20x+5\le 3x-15

Group like terms

15+5\le 20x+3x

20\le 23x

\frac{20}{23}\le x

x\ge \frac{20}{23}

In interval form it is written as

[\frac{20}{23}, \infty)

Line j is a straight line. Which equation represents the relationship between the measures of Angle w and Angle z? A) Measure of
rewona [7]

Answer:

Measure of angle W + measure of angle Z = 180°

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason is that angles in a straight line add up to 180° and angles at a point add up to 360° (i.e the sum of measure of angles W, X, Y, Z is 360°)

Two garen plots are to have the same area. One is square and one is rectangular. The rectangular plot is 2 meters wide and 32 me
Brrunno [24]

Answer:

Length l = 8 m

The length of one side of the square is 8 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a rectangle is;

Area = length × breadth

Given;

Length = 32 m

Breadth = 2 m

Area of the rectangle can be expressed as;

A = 32 × 2 = 64 m^2

Area of a square is;

Area = length × length = l^2

Since the area of the square is equal to the area of the rectangle, then the area of the square is 64 m^2

A = l^2

64 = l^2

l = √64

l = 8 m

The length of one side of the square is 8 m
