Following World War II, there was a deliberation that something like that should never happen again - people didn't want to see huge masses of people being killed anymore just because they're from a different race/religion, etc.

With the genocide of jews - this was the common idea and the term genocide originated out of the second World War.

I choose World War II.  It was not just about armies fighting each other but also concerned the decimation of an entire race of people.  During WWII,  the Germans tried to wipe out the Jews in Europe and almost succeeded had not the allies arrived and liberated the camps where the Jews were held.   This also led the establishment of international laws to prevent genocide and convict those who perpetuate it.

what does lincoln say that the people at the dedication of soldiers national ceremony could not really dedicate, consecrate, or
krok68 [10]
What you are referring too is the Gettysburg address. But perhaps maybe you haven't heard it all over.

Lincoln explains in his speech that it is the soldiers who have given their lives, and who have fought with such valor in what they believed in, that have hallowed this ground. Soldiers on both sides, as the states which turned against the union, remained as stars on the union flag.

In other words, it is not the piece of paper that hallows the ground. Not the speech or any other source or action. It is the dedication of the men who fought there that hallowed that ground

If you wish to learn more about this, I recommend going to Gettysburg Pennsylvania just as I have. The town features great restaurants and attractions and you can learn so much from the museum and a trip to the battlefield.

lara [203]
Because Italy was left out of a majority of the negotiations because certain countries felt as if Italy didn’t deserve as much from the treaty because they didn’t do “enough” to earn it.

Write the fuedal system in the correct order and describe each class.
sdas [7]
Assuming your talking about Europe. At the bottom of the system there are Peasants, the lowest and most common. They work on fields and trade and barter. Next are knights. They protect the Peasants and Nobles. They usually get paid in gold or the Peasants goods. Next are Nobles, the rich. They buy Knights to protect them and are right below the king. They usually hire Peasants to work on their land for little pay. Lastly the king. They control everything. They have knights and Nobles and oversee everyone.
