The diagram shows changes of state between solid, liquid, and gas. The atoms of a substance gain energy during a change of state

. Before the change, the atoms are close together and cannot slide past one another. After the change, the substance can fill its container. A diagram has a triangle at center with gas on top, liquid on bottom right, solid on bottom left. An arrow from gas to liquid is labeled O, and an arrow from liquid to gas is labeled N. An arrow from solid to liquid is labeled P, and an arrow from liquid to solid is labeled Q. An arrow from solid to gas is labeled L, and an arrow from gas to solid is labeled M. Which arrow represents the change of state described above? L M N O

beks73 [17]

Answer:

Natural selection

Explanation:

According to  Darwin's theory, natural selection is the process by which individuals better adapted to their environments have more chances to survive and reproduce, and thereby their descendants will be better represented in the next generation. This mechanism exploits the existence of natural variation among members in the population which is used to select those individuals that are better adapted (i.e., with a higher adaptive fitness) for their environments. Natural selection is a key mechanism of evolution by which species change across time.

How are proteins related to DNA? What con cause damage or a change in DNA, and how does that change the structure and function o
FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer:

hi there, proteins are related to DNA  because DNA carries the instruction for synthesizing  proteins, which can code for a certain amino acids based on the sequence.

Explanation:

A change in  base sequence can be either good or bad. But... Usually... a mutation could be a main factor that changes the sequence of the protein, which causes it to code for a different amino acid than the original. Base pairs could either substituted,  deleted, or inserted, which usually are what a mutation could be caused by or consisted of. This is also known as a gene mutation, which are changes in genes .

hope that helps!!!

Why do cells use fat and starch for long-term energy storage instead of ATP molecules?
olga55 [171]
Cells use fat and starch for long term energy storage instead of ATP molecules because it is hard to breakdown fat in a very short time while ATP can be broken down in a very short time. ATP is mainly used while doing short bursts of exercises. Fats have a very strong bond of molecular chains and this makes it hard to breakdown quickly.
