What point is 2/3 of the distance from point A(3, 1) to point B(3, 19)?
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer: (3, 13)

Step-by-step explanation:

If we let the point be P, then AP:BP=2:1.

P=\left(\frac{(2)(3)+(1)(3)}{2+1}, \frac{(2)(19)+(1)(1)}{2+1} \right)=(3, 13)

Jim is running on a trail that is 5/4 of a mile long. So far he has run 2/3 of the trail. How many miles has he run so far?
Advocard [28]
You have to subtract 5/4 by 2/3 but in order to do that you must find a common denominator or least common multiple so the least common denominator of 4 and 3 is 12 so you have to multiply 4 by 3 and three by 4 to make both denominators 12 but you have to do the same thing on the top as you did the bottom so: 5/4*3= 15/12 and 2/3*4=8/12 Then 15/12-8/12 is 7/12 so Jim has to run 7/12 more

I WILL MARK BRAINS!!! 10 POINTS
Zinaida [17]

C

A line with undefined slope is a vertical line parallel to the y-axis, passing through all points with the same x-coordinate.

For this reason it's equation is x = c

where c is the value of the x-coordinate the line passes through

For (- 3, 5 ) the x-coordinate is - 3, hence

x = - 3 → is the equation of the line
