Answer:

y = \frac{2w}{x^{2}}

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve an equation for one of its variable do that

  • Underline the variable
  • Separate it on one side and the other terms on the other side
  • Make its coefficient equal 1

Let us use these steps to solve our question

∵ w = \frac{1}{2} x²y

→ Underline y

∴ w = \frac{1}{2} x²<u>y </u>

<u />

→ Multiply both sides by 2 to cancel the denominator 2

∵ 2 × w = 2 ×  \frac{1}{2} x²y

∴ 2w = x²y

→ Divide both sides by x² to move it to the left side

∵ \frac{2w}{x^{2}} = \frac{x^{2}y}{x^{2}}

∴  \frac{2w}{x^{2}} =  y

→ Switch the two sides

∴ y = \frac{2w}{x^{2}}

Triangle ABC is similar to triangle XYZ. Which proportion can be used to find the measure of the missing side?
lisov135 [29]
I'm not sure what side is missing but you could use the proportions

A/B=X/Y or B/C=Y/Z or CA/=ZX. it also works if you reverse this for example B/A=Y/X

Kia wants to order a large pizza from Frank's Pizza. Each large cheese pizza costs  $8.75 and each additional topping costs $0.5
Afina-wow [57]
<h2>Hello!</h2>

The answer is: A. 8.75 + 0.50 x ≤ 15.00

<h2>Why?</h2>

By isolating the variable (x), we have:

8.75 + 0.50x \leq15.00 \\0.50x\leq 15-8.75\\0.50x\leq 6.25\\x\leq \frac{6.25}{0.50}\\x\leq 12.5

So, with the result of x ≤ 12.5 , we can know that the most amount of additional toppings Kia got, is 12 toppings.

The inequality is telling us that Kia will spend 15$ or less if she orders 12 toppings or less.

Have a nice day!

Wayne's gym locker is a rectangular prism with a width and height of 12
Gnom [1K]

Answer:

Volume = (2890 and 5/8) inches^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Height = 12 and 1/2inches = 25/2

Width = 12 and 1/2inches = 25/2

Length = 6 inches > width = 6 + width

= 6 + (12 and 1/2) = 18 and 1/2

Length = 18 and 1/2 inches = 37/2

Volume of prism = length × breadth × height

Volume of rectangular prism = (25/2)×(25/2)×(37/2)

Volume of rectangular prism = (23125/8) inches^3

Volume of rectangular prism = (2890 and 5/8) inches^3

Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 4x is proportional and linear ( y = coffienient(x) )

y = -4x - 3 is not proportional because it has a costant ( -3 )

They are both an equation, they have a coffienient, and a value like (x)
